安宁，博士，汕头大学文学院外文系副教授，硕士师承北京大学申丹教授，博士师承香港中文大学David Parker、李欧梵教授。主要研究方向为比较文学、翻译研究、文学伦理学批评，近年致力于以中国哲学重读英语文学经典，形成跨文化阐释的方法论自觉；著名汉学家艾朗诺（Ronald Egan）教授赞其以中释西的研究“堪称典范（masterful）”。

现有专著一部：《对平常日子的肯定：〈红楼梦〉与〈米德尔马契〉的比较研究》；译著九部：《康拉德文学传记》《康拉德书信选》《康拉德散文选》《“水仙号”上的黑水手》《黑暗的心》《阿尔迈耶的愚蠢》《吉姆爷》《诺斯托罗莫》《在西方的注视下》。在Conradiana（美国，A&HCI）、ANQ（美国，A&HCI）、Philosophy and Literature（美国，A&HCI）、The Conradian（英国, MLA）、《中华读书报》、《澳门日报》等发表论文、杂文数十篇。

担任Conradiana（美国，A&HCI）评委，美国Adam Gillon Book Award评委，英国、波兰、美国、日本等国康拉德协会会员，澳门比较文学学会理事，广东省外国文学学会理事。

An Ning, PhD, Associate Professor of English Literature in the College of Liberal Arts, Shantou University. She took her master’s degree under Professor Shen Dan at Peking University, and her doctorate under Professors David Parker and Leo Ou-fan Lee at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her work moves between comparative literature, translation studies, and literary ethical criticism. In recent years she has sought to read the classics of English literature through the concepts of Chinese philosophy, and in this reading to form a vision across cultures. Ronald Egan, the renowned sinologist, called her interpretation of the West through China “masterful”.

From her hand come one book, An Affirmation of Ordinary Life: A Comparative Study of Dream of the Red Chamber and Middlemarch, and nine translations: Joseph Conrad, a Literary Biography, Selected Letters of Joseph Conrad, Selected Essays of Joseph Conrad, The Nigger of the “Narcissus”, Heart of Darkness, Almayer’s Folly, Lord Jim, Nostromo, and Under Western Eyes. Her essays have appeared in Conradiana, ANQ, Philosophy and Literature, The Conradian, China Reading Weekly, and Macau Daily.

She reviews for Conradiana and judges for the Adam Gillon Book Award. She is a member of the Conrad societies of the United Kingdom, Poland, the United States, and Japan, and serves on the councils of the Macau Comparative Literature Association and the Guangdong Foreign Literature Association.
