Collin Steward Tham is a Lecturer at the English Language Center (ELC) ofShantou University.

Research Interests: His current research interests are Neurolinguistics and Cognitive Psychology. As a teacher-facilitator, he is particularly interested in NLP and Leadership Development (OD), on the basis that understanding behavior is critical to understanding learner ability and to identifying skills and competencies. His most significant achievements come from his role as head coach of the Shantou University Debate Team. In 27th National College English Debating Championship (2025): Coached two freshmen who took first place in the South China Regional and third place nationally out of 175 teams; Tham was recognized as an Outstanding National Tutor. Prior to this, the same team won First Prize in the South China Regional qualifying round. Additionally, in the 28th edition of the "FLTRP·GUOCAI Cup" National College English Debate Competition: Coached four students who all broke into the national top 32; two students advanced to the offline elimination rounds in Beijing, reaching the national top 16.
